There are hundreds of variations of make your own popsicle out there. I'm going to give you one you may or may not have heard before. Either way it's kind of fun to do. Especially if you have kids, they'll love it! There are a few different ways to do this. You'll need either small dixie cups, ice cube trays or popsicle trays. I got these at the Dollar Tree last week. You'll need fresh fruit and some type of clear soda. I chose 7Up but you could also use Sprite, store brand equivalent or ginger ale. Cut your fruit up into pieces that will fit in whatever kind of "tray" you are using. Don't pack it too tight but you want them to be pretty full. Fill your "trays" with soda. Get them as full as you can without spilling and still be able to move them to the freezer. If you are using popsicle trays, put the tops on and stick them in the freezer. If you are using dixie cups or ice cube trays, you'll need cling wrap or aluminum foil and either popsicle sticks or tooth picks. Put your foil or cling wrap on top of the tray or cut then stick your tooth picks or popsicle sticks in and put them in the freezer. After a few hours you'll have decently healthy and absolutely amazing fruit pops. The possibilities are limit less with these. Make different combinations. Let the kids pick what they want. They'll LOVE it! Important tip with these. Make sure you run a little warm water over your tray so they'll pop out easy. Enjoy!
