Ok, so the name, Sweet Tea & Lemon Peel-Away Clay Mask, kind of struck me as odd. Normally you either get a mud/clay or a peel away, not a combination of the two. Anybody that knows me knows I'm obsessed with these mask, so to find a weird one I was crazy excited to try it.
The texture was more like a peel mask. You know, like a sticky thick yet running gel type but instead of being a clear it was flesh colored. After putting it on my face and getting it all over the bathroom mirror and sink I was ready to sit back and relax or my version, playing a video game. As I'm sitting there playing my game I could feel it drying. Something was different though. Instead of just getting tight on my face, it felt like it was ripping my skin off at the edges. I guess I would describe that as putting super glue all over your face. Anyway, after about 20 minutes, it was definitely time to "peel" this bitch off because too much longer I think my skin would have been so tight my eye balls would have popped out. Like I said I like peel mask so I figured this one would have came off like any other. Ha! Better think again! I had to very slowly with my nails peel it off little by little. The entire time I felt like my skin was ripping off, not just the mask. Then the lower on my face I got, chin & bottom half of my cheeks, it got stuck. No joke kids the shit would not come the fuck off. Finally I took a deep breath and held it as I ripped that shit off like a band aid. Talk about pain. Holy fucking shit the pain!!! Anyway I survived and my skin felt great afterward but if there is any truth to "beauty is pain" then I know exactly what it means now. So I rate this mask a try at your own risk. If you do try it, please let me know your experience because mine was painful.
